I created Nestlé Can during a period when I found myself drinking Abuelita hot chocolate often for comfort. Its taste brought me back to childhood and to memories of my abuelita making it for us. Recreating the familiar container in clay preserves an ordinary object that carries an intimate family memory, while reflecting on how I continue that ritual today for myself and my partner.
