Reclaiming Our Bodies & Embodying Our Healing
In celebration of International Women's Day 2025, Artillery Ceramics Studio organized an open call inviting women artists from across the Bay Area to showcase their work. Alongside three fellow curators, I helped review submissions, select participating artists, and bring together an exhibition exploring healing, resistance, and creative expression.
I also participated as an exhibiting artist, sharing my own work alongside the artists we selected.
Curation & Exhibition Coordination
Working with our curatorial team, I helped coordinate artist communications, schedule meetings, prepare written artwork liability agreements, and organize exhibition installation. I also assisted with event setup and the safe return of artwork to participating artists after the exhibition closed.
It All Begins Here
We bring creativity and expertise to everything we do.
Here, creativity meets opportunity. Whatever you're building, we're here to help you take the first step with confidence.
Photography & Documentation
I helped find and coordinate a photographer to document the exhibition, then edited, organized, and stored the photographs for future use. Documenting these events was an important part of preserving the work of participating artists and sharing the exhibition with the wider community.
Closing Ceremony
On April 20, 2025, we brought the exhibition to a close with a community gathering celebrating the participating artists and their work. I helped coordinate the event and supported the organization and return of artworks following the exhibition.
As an Exhibiting Artist
Alongside my curatorial and communications work, I had the opportunity to exhibit my own ceramic piece. Being involved both behind the scenes and as a participating artist gave me a deeper appreciation for the care and collaboration that goes into creating an exhibition.
