Climate Consciousness
PASEO ARTÍSTICO · SPRING 2026
Ceramics · Environmental Awareness · Community Engagement
About the Exhibition
Climate Consciousness brought together ceramics, shared food, and environmentally conscious art practices. Alongside Gabi Montufar and Maile, I helped create a community gathering featuring a pit firing, handmade ceramic bowls, shared soup, and an exhibition of our ceramic compost vessels.
Pit Fire
We began the day with a pit firing led by Gabi Montufar, connecting our ceramic practice to earth, fire, and traditional making processes.
A Bowl of Soup, A Moment of Community
Gabi, Maile, and I created handmade ceramic bowls to vend during the gathering while preparing soup to share with our community.
Ceramic Compost Vessels
We exhibited our ceramic compost vessels to explore the relationship between functional art, sustainability, and everyday environmental practices.
Community Engagement
This gathering was an opportunity to connect with neighbors through art, food, and shared experiences. It reminded me that community programming can be as simple and meaningful as coming together around a bowl of soup.
